Hushållningssällskapet Skåne is a 200 year old organization based in the south of Sweden. Nationally, Hushållningssällskapet – AgriKnowledge Sweden is Sweden’s leading knowledge organisations within agriculture, rural development and sustainable food systems. As a non-profit membership organization, we aim to develop tools which are applicable to and support the daily life of those on the land.
Hushållningssällskapet Skåne has a full infrastructure, sensors, waterings systems, and machines for different cultivation systems. We have decades of experience of conducting field trials. Today we are providing farmers with tools for precision farming through markkartering.se. We are, further developing these capabilities by combining soil mapping data with both weather, satellite, and harvest data.
We want to increase our knowledge, develop our technique, develop our network, strengthen our collaborations with an international emphasis with the ultimate goal: to contribute to the Swedish food supply and in the short run provide farmers the opportunity to perform precision farming at an even finer scale both spatially and temporally.
