Technical Solution for Agro Science (TSAgro) is a platform dedicated to developing and designing field trial equipment, assessment technologies and methods, and executing field trials. From management platform integration and protocol development to task execution, assessment, harvesting, data management, and analysis, TSAgro prioritizes the needs of scientists by enhancing their working environment and significantly improving the quality of their outputs.
The platform’s first implementation at the field level is an autonomous plot seeder designed for variety and fertilizer testing. This self-propelled machine uses autosteering and automated turning to replace the need for manual operation by technicians. Plans are underway to equip the seeder with “on-the-go” soil sensors to enable the automatic collection of soil parameters such as texture, moisture, temperature, seeding depth, and electrical conductivity (EC) content at the plot level. This innovation will greatly enhance the level of data collected and improve the ability to evaluate soil impacts on specific treatments or crop varieties.
The project addresses a critical need arising from changing climatic conditions: understanding how new crop varieties respond to these changes. By focusing on this question and others, TSAgro aims to provide valuable insights and solutions for the agricultural science community.
